Experience peace of mind with our comprehensive 24 Hour Emergency Assistance services also known as 24/7 Emergency Support, designed to support individuals with disabilities and their caregivers in times of need.

Our 24-hour emergency assistance service provides on-call counseling, problem-solving, and immediate response for assistance at a person’s home due to health or personal emergencies that are not related to an injury or immediate danger.

To be eligible for our 24-hour emergency assistance service, an individual must either:. Live in their own home, without 24-hour supervision, and would otherwise require extensive, routine supervision in the absence of this service, or live with a primary caregiver who would otherwise require extensive support in the absence of this service to secure help in the event of an emergency.

This service does not replace the use of 911 when necessary.

24-Hour Emergency Assistance aka 24/7 Emergency Support

Our comprehensive 24-hour emergency assistance program covers:

Immediate response for assistance at the person’s home.

On-call counseling and problem-solving.

Personal emergency response system (PERS) installation and testing.

PERS device and monitoring.

Remote Support Compatibility. Our 24-hour emergency assistance service can be delivered through remote support, meeting all requirements listed on CBSM – Remote support.

Documentation & Support Plan. Upon an unexpected need for non-equipment services, the lead agency can authorize the service immediately. The support plan must be reviewed within five days of service initiation and updated as necessary to meet the person’s ongoing needs.

The following services are not covered under our 24-hour emergency assistance program:

  • Scheduled on-call support provided through other services
  • Staffing for other services
  • Staff person sleeping or awake overnight in the person's own home

Individuals with disabilities who are enrolled in the ICLS program in Minnesota are eligible for 24/7 Emergency Support. The service can be tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual and can be combined with other ICLS services to create a comprehensive care plan.

Eligibility for Safeway Guardian: 24/7 Emergency Support

You may be eligible for our Safeway Guardian: 24/7 Emergency Support if you meet one of the following criteria:

You live in your own home, do not receive 24-hour supervision, and would otherwise require extensive, routine supervision in the absence of this service.

You live with a primary caregiver who would otherwise require extensive support in the absence of this service to secure help in the event of an emergency.
